Citro n Jumper Relay Euro NCAP Commercial Van Safety Results 2025

Citroën Jumper (Relay)
Tested model: FIAT E-Ducato
Applies to: Jumper/Relay (ICE) and ë-Jumper/ë-Relay (electric), 2024 on

The Citroën Jumper (Relay) now shares the safety improvements which have been made to the FIAT Ducato, to which it is a twin. Rated as Gold in 2024, the Citroën Jumper (Relay) obtains a five-star rating in 2024. Well equipped, both for passive and active safety, and with generally strong ADAS performance, the Jumper (Relay) is a good choice for those looking for safety in a commercial van. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system is standard equipment throughout Europe. The system combines AEB with Forward Collision Warning (FCW) that detects vulnerable road users like pedestrians and cyclists as well as other vehicles. In Euro NCAP's tests of the system's reaction to vehicles, performance was adequate, tailing off at higher speeds and where the target was offset to one side. Likewise, the system reacted adequately in tests of its reaction to pedestrians. For cyclists, performance was good, with collisions avoided in most test scenarios.

The standard-fit Lane Support System (LSS) gently steers the vehicle if it is drifting out of lane and intervenes more aggressively in some more critical situations to prevent the van from leaving the road. A blind-spot information system is available.

The speed assistance system uses digital mapping and a camera to determine the local speed limit. This information is presented to the driver and the speed limiter can be set accordingly.

There is a standard-fit seatbelt reminder system for both the driver and passenger seat.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) has not been assessed as part of the current rating.
