The Trafic, rated Gold in 2024, becomes a 2025 five-star van. The van comes equipped with most of the important ADAS features as standard, and these generally perform well. The van is not required by legislation to have Lane Keep Assistance as it has hydraulic steering, and some passive safety equipment, like passenger and side curtain airbags, is optional only. But the Trafic performs well and represents a good choice for those seeking a safe commercial van. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system is standard equipment throughout Europe. The system combines AEB with Forward Collision Warning (FCW) that detects vulnerable road users like pedestrians and cyclists as well as other vehicles. In Euro NCAP's tests of the system's reaction to vehicles, performance was good, tailing off only a little at higher speeds. The system reacted performed adequately in tests of its reaction to pedestrians while, for cyclists, performance was good.

Lane Keep Assist is not available on the Trafic but it has Lane Departure Warning and a blind-spot information system is available as an option.

The speed assistance system uses a camera to determine the local speed limit. This information is presented to the driver and the manual speed limiter can be set accordingly.

There is a standard-fit seatbelt reminder system for both the driver and passenger seat.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) has not been assessed as part of the current rating.
